At Recovery 8:28, our mission is to provide individuals struggling with SUD and co occurring disorders with the tools, resources, and support they need to overcome their challenges and build a brighter future. Our dedication to quality services and continuous improvement ensures that our clients receive the highest level of care and support on their path to recovery.
Our team is qualified through a combination of lived experience and state specific certification and training. With at least 6 years of sustained recovery, with experience in peer support and behavioral health. Our team is dedicated to always growing in our knowledge to expand the impact we can make on the clients we work with.
We offer a variety of psychoeducation group sessions, including Relapse prevention WRAP, Art therapy, Healthy boundary setting and holding, Conflict resolution, CBT, DBT, Life skills and many more. Our team is constantly evolving the curriculum to provide the best therapeutic benefit possible, and we are always open to creating new groups to better serve our clients as needs arise.
Recovery 8:28 strives to recover all aspects of life, not just addiction. We know that every addiction has a root and we work diligently to help our clients discover the root of their struggles, and recover their lives entirely. Heather Stringer is our dedicated Founder and Qualified behavioral health assistance (QBHA), deeply committed to guiding others on their recovery journeys. With a focus on trauma-informed care, she helps clients navigate the complexities of recovery, drawing from her own experiences since 2017.
Having faced various traumas alongside her children, Heather understands the challenges of healing and is passionate about providing personalized support. She works closely with each client to create tailored recovery plans, equipping them with the tools that have been pivotal in her own recovery.
Reflecting on her journey, Heather emphasizes the importance of growth and resilience. She’s here to support you through the ups and downs of recovery, offering compassion and guidance every step of the way. With Heather, you’re not just a client; you’re a part of a healing community
Cameon Stringer
CEO and Qualified Behavioral Health Assistant
Cameron Stringer is our CEO and Qualified behavioral health assistance (QBHA). After battling addiction for many years, Cameron found hope and recovery through a combination of faith and determination. Now, 12 years recovered, he has turned his life around, advocating for others facing similar struggles. Cameron’s journey involved navigating the legal system, addiction trauma and codependency which was a crucial part of his transformation. Today, Cameron focuses on helping others find their path to recovery while inspiring change, growth, faith and healing. Cameron is dedicated to finding the light in a dark situation and making everyone feel like they have found the help and support that they need to succeed in their goals and recovery.
Working side by side since 2022 the Stringers decided to start Recovery 8:28 based on the verse Romans 8:28. We believe God is working for every individual for the good and for His purpose.
